Local players continue to shine on the Top 50 Junior Golf Tour for Southeast Michigan this summer.
In a July 10 tournament at Prestwick Village, Maggie Hughes? 87 tied her for first place on the day (with Renee Kuczeski of Troy winning the playoff) in the Girls 15 & Under division. Megan Clemence’s 78 was good for a second place tie in the Girls 16 & Older division, while Andy Bogus shot a 76 to finish near the top in the Boys 16 & Older division.
Lake Orion’s Adam Haddad finished in fifth place in the Boys 16 & Older division in the July 17 tournament at Eagle Crest, carding an 81. Oxford’s Matthew Sheperd won the 15 & Under division with a 76.
The tour continues with a pair of events this week, before concluding at Paint Creek Country Club next Wednesday.
