Author explores cultureof porches

Bruce Marsee of Davisburg recently released ‘The Art of Porch sitting’A Societal Barometer.?
‘The American Porch did and can have a profound influence upon the family and in particular America’s most cherished possession, her youth,? Marsee said.
Marsee was born in Evarts, Ky., to Rose and J.L. Marsee, named for the doctor who delivered him, Dr. Bruce Underwood.
After high school, he worked at Radio Station WMLF in Pineville for a while, and served two years in the Marines.
He used his life experiences to write ‘The ADO Principle.? His theory of Ability, Desire and Opportunity is that if any one of these three are missing in childhood, youth, or employment, the person usually ends up with a job instead of a career and may never get on the right track.
Now a successful writer and businessman, he owns a home in Davisburg, another in southeastern Michigan overlooking a lake and a beach condo in Florida. Each has its own unique porch that gets used as much as possible by Bruce and his family.
‘The Art of Porch Sitting? is available at most major bookstores and on the net at Amazon.com.
He is currently working on two other books, one on prostate cancer. It should be out later this year.
