Brandon Twp.- The welcome mat appears to have been put out for Tractor Supply Company to come to the township.
The planning commission unanimously approved a site plan and special use request, provided all conditions are met, by Tractor Supply Company to maintain outdoor storage and display at 700 S. Ortonville Road, the former site of James Lumber.
Planning commission members expressed excitement to see the company, a farm and ranch retailer with more than 700 stores in 38 states, including 57 stores in Michigan, come to the township.
‘I’m excited to see this building utilized and think Brandon residents will be excited,? said Donna Ferrara.
?(Tractor Supply Company) would be an asset to the township. Rather than an empty building deteriorating, this would be great,? said Joseph Rohovsky, planning commission chairman.
According to the TSC website, tractorsupply.com, the company was founded in 1938, is headquartered in Brentwood, Tenn., and employs more than 10,000 workers.
