Jewel heist stuns area family

Brandon Twp.- Irreplaceable charm bracelets, wedding rings, and a blue star sapphire necklace and ring are just some of the jewelry that was stolen from a woman who is desperate to get her family heirlooms returned.
The woman, who lives in the 4900 block of Hummer Lake Road, made a police report on Sept. 17 at the Brandon substation after discovering two of her jewelry boxes stolen, that had contained numerous pieces of jewelry, including the named keepsakes. One of the boxes also had a card in it from the victim’s father, who died nearly a year ago. The charm bracelets and sapphire necklace and ring were childhood gifts from her parents. Her husband’s wedding ring and grandmother’s wedding ring were also in the boxes.
‘My mom died in 2005 and my dad in 2006, and I miss them so much,? she said, crying. ‘I wish the person who took it could just return some of it.?
