By a 7-0 vote on Monday night, the Brandon School Board OK’d moving the school board elections from May to November of each year. School officials said the election change will save the district about $14,000 per year and extend the board members? terms by six months.
The school election will be with gubernatorial and presidential ballots. The school board terms will start mid-school year in January rather than during summer vacation in July.
