Planning Commission told to ‘look again?

The Orion Township Board has instructed the Planning Commission to re-examine a special land use permit that could lead to the construction of a Taco Bell on Baldwin Road near the township’s northern border.
The change hinges on the hours of operation, with landowner Eugene Scypinski requesting that the drive-thru portion of the facility be open til 2 a.m.
The special land use permit is currently conditioned around the hours of 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. (with the requested change being from 9 a.m. to 2 a.m.).
The Planning Commission denied that request, prompting Scypinski’s side to appeal to the board earlier this month.
The board’s Feb. 4 motion sending it back cited a ‘lack of findings of fact.?
Afterwards, two residents from adjoining properties expressed their concern over a potential drive-thru near their yards.
