Orion businesses donate time to put markers on Polly Ann

On Wednesday, April 23, two boulders were placed on Polly Ann Trail to commemorate the Chrysler Foundation’s contribution to, and support of, the trail.?
Buckhorn Towing and Environmental Wood Solutions of Lake Orion donated their time and specialized equipment to load, move and place the boulders, one weighing over 4,000 lbs. and the other weighing over 8,000 lbs.
‘I would personally like to thank Brenda, Dave, Danny and George from Buckhorn Towing and Larry Mullens from Environmental Wood Solutions,? said Larry Obrecht, former county commissioner. ‘Their sense of community and contributions to assist with this project are greatly appreciated.?
One boulder now sits at the entrance to the Polly Ann Trail on Indianwood Road in Lake Orion, while the other was placed on the trail’s opposite end in Leonard.?
The Polly Ann Trail is a 14.2-mile long, non-motorized trail on converted rail bed in Oakland County.’It connects across three townships: Orion, Oxford and Addison.?
