Soccer squad ready for playoff push

The Dragons girls? soccer squad is hoping to travel to Grand Blanc later this week in district action.
But first, the team must get past Lakeland in a game that took place after this edition went to print (visit www.lakeorionreview.com) for an update.
Clarkston awaits the winner on Thursday.
Prior to their district opener, Lake Orion the team topped visiting Royal Oak 2-1 last Thursday, getting a goal and an assist from Niki Read.
The previous weekend, the team also claimed the Eagle Invitational title at Lapeer East High School.
In that Saturday tournament, the Dragons went 3-0, recording victories over Bay City Western (3-1), Lapeer East (1-0) and Bay City John Glenn (1-0).
On the day, Shannon Doyle and Halee Doyle both scored twice, and Jamie Tasco added a goal and an assist. Julianne Boyle had two assists for Lake Orion as well.
In net, Alyssa Mason recorded two victories and Hailey Redd got the other.
Coach Ken Snage also praised the consistent play of Kelsie Hopper and Caitlin Clemence.
The team was 10-8-2 at press time.
