Marie English (D) and Peggy Boggs (R) have been appointed to Orion Township’s local board of canvassers, for terms ending in 2011.
English was reappointed to the board, while Boggs will take the place of Cheryl Reichert.
The board of canvassers is made up of two Democrats and two Republicans, with staggered four-year terms. They verify results of local election races or proposals on the day following an election.
