Clarkston’s Relay For Life will be this weekend, 10 a.m., Saturday, June 21, until 10 a.m., Sunday, June 22, at Clarkston Junior High School.
The school track will be lit throughout the night with luminaria, candlelit bags decorated with names of people who have faced cancer. The Luminaria Ceremony is set for after sundown, Saturday.
Nineteen teams with more than 100 participants have signed up so far, collecting more than $14,000 as of Monday, according to Relay for Life, Clarkston.
It will kick off with a Victory Lap of cancer survivors. For the next 24 hours, at least one member of each team will walk, to raise money for the American Cancer Society.
