About 1,400 registered voters in Springfield Township should soon receive notice of a change in polling place for the August 5 primary election.
Construction at Oakland Technical Center on Big Lake Road has rendered the facility inaccessible, said clerk Nancy Strole.
Those who reside in Precinct no. 4 and normally vote at OTC will instead be asked to cast their ballots Dixie Baptist Church, located at 8585 Dixie Highway.
Signs will direct voters to the polling place entrance at the rear of the church, where ample parking is available.
This change is for the August 5 primary election only. The November 4 general election polling place will be at its usual location at the Oakland Technical Center.
