The Orion Township Safety Path Advisory Committee is celebrating 20 years of providing safety paths in the community.
Join them Friday, July 18, noon to 5:45 p.m. or Saturday, July 19, 9:30 a.m. to noon as they honor the citizen-initiated program which currently extends for more than 38 miles of pedestrian pathways in the community, providing Orion residents access to schools, parks, shopping, the library, the Paint Creek Trailway and Polly Ann Trail, and other recreational facilities.
At 10 a.m. on Saturday, they will recognize past and present members of the Safety Path Advisory Committee with a brief ceremony thanking them for their dedication to the program.
Stop by either Friday afternoon or Saturday morning to pick up a brochure, view the updated 2008 Safety Paths & Trails Map, and chat with members of the committee regarding any questions or concerns.
