James and Claudine Sherrod of Wixom and Laura and Jerry Lizzet of Davison are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristina Sherrod, to Donald Kapit, Jr.
The bride-to-be is a 2003 graduate of Brandon High School and graduated from Davenport University in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in business management. She is currently employed as a personal banker at Chase Bank in Lapeer.
The groom-to-be is a 2002 graduate of Brandon High School, attended Davenport University and is contracted through Consumers Energy. He is the son of Donald and Sharon Kapit of Waterford and Lynn and Mark McLaughlin of Oxford.
The couple has been dating for 5-and-a-half years and purchased their first home together in Davison last year.
A June 2009 wedding is planned in Traverse City.
