Southbound I-75 closed after body found on road

At about 11:30 p.m., Sept. 12, Michigan State Police from Groveland Township responded to the southbound lane of I-75 near the Grange Hall Road ramps after a 9-1-1 call that a body was in the southbound lanes of the highway.
When troopers arrived, they found a 20-year-old female laying near the lane divider just off the left-hand lane.
Troopers closed the southbound lane and Groveland Township firefighters responded to the scene.
According to the Michigan State Police reports, the body had been hit more than once and dragged a distance. There were no eyewitnesses to the death; however, the 9-1-1 call reported they had to swerve to miss the body.
Troopers contacted the victim’s family members, who reported she had been in a rough relationship with another female who was ‘very controlling and jealous.? Troopers then interviewed that woman, a Grand Blanc resident, who said the victim had jumped from the front seat of her car while they were traveling south on I-75. The driver then left the scene and traveled to Inkster.
The Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office investigation is continuing following a polygraph test.
