Stephan Stothers

PFC Stephan Stothers recently earned his expert infantryman’s badge in the U.S. Army.
In order to test for the EIB, a soldier must complete four prerequisites, including shoot expert 36 out of 40 targets ranging from 50 to 300 meters; complete a 12-mile march in three hours; complete and pass day and night land navigation; and score a 75 percent or higher on the physical training test.
During the EIB test, a soldier must pass 34 tasks, including first aid, communications, and several different weapons systems.
Stothers, a 2007 Brandon High School graduate, is stationed at Ft. Lewis, Wash.
He is the son of Dean and Theresa Stothers of Oxford and the grandson of Ray and Helen Blair of Ortonville and Mary Frye of Plymouth.
