‘The Moose? is Spooktacular

On Saturday, Oct. 18, the Moose Tree Nature Preserve hosted their annual Spooktacular Story Stroll. Young goblins, princesses and ninjas were treated to a stroll through the preserve at night. They were guided along the trail in groups where they met characters like Mother Nature and the Scarecrow from Oz. They also ventured into Moose Tree’s Cemetery and watched Snoopy perform ‘Suppertime? in the Great Pumpkin Patch.
The trail ended with Moose Tree’s version of the three witches from Shakespearse’s Macbeth.
Through the night there was laughter, oohs and ahhs. Fun was had by all.
Once they returned from the trail, children entered the exhibit room where questions about the animals were answered. Treats like cider and donuts were enjoyed by the fireside.
This family friendly program was put together by naturalist, Jamie Rustowicz, and over 30 volunteers. The pumpkins in the patch were donated by Harvest Time
