Some 167 memory book enthusiasts showed up at Clarkston High School last week armed with pretty papers, colored pens, and embellishments of every sort as they prepared to participate in the third-annual Scrapbook Extravaganza.
The day long event, a fundraiser for Pine Knob Elementary, was widely supported by local businesses, who provided food and beverages throughout the day and also donated items for a raffle.
Participants from across Oakland County’and beyond’paid $45 to attend the event and enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as the chance to catch up with friends, share ideas and create new scrapbook pages.
‘It’s been an amazing day,? said co-chair Katherine Shrout.
