Cars slip, slide on snow

The first significant snow fall hit the Clarkston area this week, during which several local drivers hit each other.
‘People don’t allow enough room and they’re going too fast for conditions,? said Sgt. Paul Bidinger, Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, Independence Township Substation.
Deputies, Clarkston police, and Independence Township firefighters responded to 10 traffic collisions just between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., this past Monday, Nov. 24. Tuesday brought 3-4 more, Biginger said.
Most involved vehicles sliding into ditches, sign posts, and each other. No serious injuries were reported.
‘We had a Bentley rear end a vehicle at White Lake and Dixie,? he said. ‘Even more expensive cars don’t stop any quicker. Slow down and leave more room.?
