A Grand Blanc man was killed when his car was struck by a suspected drunk driver, 6:30 p.m., Dec. 18.
The suspect, a 58-year-old Pontiac woman, was going the wrong way on I-75, north of Sashabaw Road, when she hit the 32-year-old driver headon, according to Michigan State Police.
Police believe she was heading north on I-75 when she struck a vehicle, causing minor damage, got turned around, and headed south in northbound lanes, hitting the Grand Blanc man.
State police closed the highway at Sashabaw Road as the suspect was extracted from her vehicle. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The suspect remained hospitalized, Monday, and police are awaiting blood toxicology test results.
