Pamela Hammond of Waterford, MI never imagined she would win the Ultimate Gift Basket. She said she never won anything even though she had entered various contests throughout her life. Pam brought her grandchild to a Christmas Party in Lake Orion and while in town she decided to shop locally. Her initial stop was at Chic Antiques, where she first learned of the Ultimate Gift Basket Drawing. As usual, she decided to visit each merchant and have her drawing form validated and dropped off at the Lake Orion Downtown Development Office.
When she was notified about her winning, she was very excited. Pam said she didn’t like to shop at malls and much preferred shopping in local downtown communities.
She enjoyed visiting the different merchants and is looking forward to enjoying a meal at our local restaurants. The value of the gift basket was over $800.00 and included various items and gift certificates donated by participating merchants and the Lake Orion Downtown Development Authority. Pam wants to thank everyone who participated and definitely plans to shop locally in downtown Lake Orion throughout the year.
