Angel the Golden Retriever has had all four feet full with her nine puppies at Marlene Morlock’s Independence Township home.
The 7-week-old puppies, registered with the American Kennel Club and United Kennel Club, are almost ready for placement.
“I wanted the best,” Morlock said. “Golden Retrievers are adaptable to apartment life, homes, they’re quiet, and they make good family pets.”
“I wanted a fulltime companion,” said Vicki Hughes, who visited Morlock’s TNT Kennel, Jan. 29, to visit her puppy. “She’s my baby.”
She hasn’t yet decided, but she will probably name her new dog Lady Elsa of Aspen, in honor of her Colorado birthplace.
A retired school teacher, Morlock taught elementary school in the Walled Lake School District for 32 years. She raised Richmond and Tally, Angel’s grandparents, in her classroom.
