Former PTA president faces two charges of embezzlement

A former president and treasurer of PTA organizations at two Clarkston schools is due in 52-2 District Court on Wednesday, May 13, to face arraignment on two counts of embezzlement.
Each count is a five-year felony.
According to preliminary details from investigators at the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office Independence Township substation, the suspect was active in parent groups at both Sashabaw Middle School and Pine Knob Elementary, and may have been embezzling funds from those groups over a six year time period.
Police were not releasing the suspect’s name, pending Wednesday’s 10:30 a.m. arraignment. Watch ClarkstonNews.com, and next week’s print edition for updates.
