Freestyle Fanatics filled Springfield OaksActivity Center with dancing dogs, May 23-24.
‘This is a choreographed musical program performed by handlers and their dogs,” said Nancy VonKoehnen, corresponding secretary amd founding member of Freestyle Fanatics in Davisburg. “The dances showcase teamwork, artistry, costuming, athleticism and style through interpretation of the music.”
The club, with about 35 members from all over the state, hosts Canine Musical Freestyle events every month, as well as regular Show-N-Go workshop days along with club meetings.
Members also share the sport around the community at fundraisers, rescue organizations, nursing homes and schools.
