Sheriff collects bikes for kids in Re-CYCLE

Oakland County Sheriff’s Office is collecting donations of new, used, or in-need-of-repair bicycles and bicycle accessories in its Re-CYCLE for Kids Program.
The program refurbishes used bicycles through the use of inmate labor, and make them available to children and adults in need through local charitable organizations.
The department has been collecting bicycles since 2006, distributing hundreds of bicycles to adults and children around Oakland County.
Donations can be dropped off at Independence Township substation, 6560 Citation Drive, 248-620-4970, and Springfield Township substation, 9075 Big Lake Road, Columbiere Center, 248-625-8531. Call first.
