Brandon suffer first leage loss

BRANDON- The Blackhawk hoopsters saw their first league loss on Jan. 31, as they fell to the Lapeer East Eagles at home.
The loss dropped the Hawks to second in the Metro League, with a 5-1 record. East leads the league with 6-0.
Bouncing back, the Brandon boys took a non-league win over visiting Fowlerville on Feb. 4.
The game looked close in the first period, as the teams closed scoring with Fowlerville up by two.
The story quickly changed however, as the Hawks out-scored the Gladiators 13-5 in the second period and 22-14 in the third.
In the victory, Gino Torelli led the Hawks with 15 points. Also in double digits was Joe Turcsak, with 10. Tom Schaeffer and Kris Nicaj each added six points, while Gjon Nicaj added five.
The boys faced Linden on the road Friday, however, no scores were available by press time. Next up for the Hawks is a road game with Oxford on Tuesday. Game time is slated for 7:30 p.m.
