Clarkston Farmer’s Market opened, Saturday, with a variety of goods, from Woodcreek Farm’s Alpaca wool to Sweet Monday’s delectable baked goods.
For opening day, June 20, 31 vendors sold produce and products, and provided lots of advice to customers, such as ‘by saving the juice of the pickles and adding other vegetables to the jar, the meal will gain a better flavor while maintaining it’s nutritional value,? at the McClure’s Pickles station.
The market will be every Saturday through Oct. 10, 8 a.m.-noon, in the parking lot across from Depot Park.
Organizers are also collecting bicycles in partnership with Bicycles for Humanity, with a goal of 430 by July 25. They will be sent to a small village in Ghana.
Also on July 25 will be Beans for Bikes, where local companies sell custom blends of coffee, donating all proceeds to Bicycles for Humanity.
