Hit and run drivers sought in two accidents

Brandon Twp.- Police are seeking anyone with information on two separate hit and run accidents occurring within days of each other last week.
According to crash reports, at about 12:30 a.m. on July 4, a Saturn Vue was westbound on Seymour Lake Road slowing to turn left before Ramsey Road when it was struck by a white vehicle northbound on Seymour Lake that ran the stop sign and broadsided the Vue. The suspect vehicle is possibly an older make Oldsmobile Cutlass or Sierra. A passenger in the Vue was transported to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries. A dog in the vehicle also required stitches when the vehicle rolled to its side.
Witnesses said the suspect’s vehicle was last seen headed south on Baldwin Road with broken headlights and swerving all over the road.
In a separate, unrelated incident, an Ortonville man driving a Saab was rear-ended at about 10 p.m., July 6 at the intersection of Ortonville Road and Glass Road. The victim was stopped at a red light in the northbound lane of Ortonville Road when a vehicle described as a dark in color Range Rover struck him from behind, then fled the scene, continuing northbound on Ortonville Road.
Anyone with information on either of these accidents is asked to call the Brandon substation at 248-627-4911.
