The sixth annual Craig Greenfield Memorial Tri and Du is set for 7:45 a.m., Sunday, Aug. 2, at Deer Lake Beach and Depot Park.
The event, in memory of Craig Greenfield, who died from non-Hodgkins’s lymphoma in 2000, has raised more than $100,000 for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Michigan.
The triathlon race includes an 800-meter swim in Deer Lake, 16-mile bike ride ending in Depot Park, and 4.5-mile run, also ending in the park. The duathlon includes a 1.9-mile run, 16-mile bike ride, and 4.4 mile run.
All festivities following the event are held in Depot Park, including post-race food from a variety of vendors and a raffle with prizes. Top three racers overall and top three in each age group will receive awards.
