Residents in the area around Lakeville Road in Oxford Township may wonder why a helicopter was circling above Monday afternoon.
According to Oakland County Sheriff’s Lt. Larry Perry, deputies and a sheriff helicopter were searching for a missing three-year-old.
According to reports, the child was reported missing by his mother a little after 2 p.m. While the helicopter circled above Lake Villa Mobile Home Park, deputies search the neighborhood on foot.
K-9 units started to track at 2:19 p.m.
By 2:30, the missing child was located by a deputy inside of his home — asleep, under a pile of clothes.
