Fight cancer on gridiron

Clarkston Varsity Football players trade in their blue-and-gold jerseys for pink and powder blue, as they raise funds to fight cancer at their Aug. 15 pre-season scrimmage.
For a $50 donation, donors get to be an honorary coach of the day, with golf shirt and a chance to watch the game from the sidelines. Donors can also have names of cancer survivors or victims placed on a commemorative name plate on the back of a Clarkston jersey for $50, or receive the commemorative game jersey with name, $100. Football for a Cure for breast cancer and prostate cancer is set for 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 15, at Clarkston High School stadium, 6093 Flemings Lake Road.
