Members of the Lake Orion Lions Club have already started thinking about summer. They’ve handed in their application for their annual Jubilee celebration during the Fourth of July holiday.
A hearing on the application is scheduled for Feb. 24, 7:30 p.m. in front of the Lake Orion Village Council.
The club has scheduled the Jubilee for July 1 (set up) through July 6 (clean up). It has requested the use of Children’s Park and the parking lot adjacent to the park and to close Broadway from Front north to Shadbolt and Flint Street from Anderson west to Lapeer Street.
Jubilee hearing
The Lake Orion Lions Club has submitted an application to close several streets in downtown Lake Orion during this summer’s annual Jubilee.
A hearing to discuss the road closings and using Children’s Park and the municipal lot next to it has been scheduled for April 26 during the regular village council meeting.
The Jubilee is scheduled for June 30-July 3, with June 29 for set up and July 4 for clean up.
