Michigan Renaissance Festival is a week late this year, but opens a full seven-week run this weekend.
Local and travelling dancers, swordsmen, artisans, armored knights, and other performers recreate 16th-century England in Hollygrove, 12500 Dixie Highway, every weekend, 10 a.m.-7 p.m., through Oct. 4.
