Looking for fun and friendship with fellow area seniors?
Then head over to the Oxford Veterans Memorial Civic Center downtown for bingo, cards and lunch, organized by the Oxford Senior Citizens group.
Bingo is open to the public every Wednesday between 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Lunch is available for a nominal fee.
On Fridays, persons age 55 and older as well as individuals with disabilities and their caregivers are invited to enjoy $3 per person lunch followed by nickel-and-dime bingo (three cards for $1.75) with all proceeds going to the game winner.
Those who prefer to play cards can enjoy a game of pinochle on Mondays from 1-3 p.m. and euchre on Thursdays from 1-3:30 p.m.
