Police advised citizens to be on the look out after two suspicious circumstances were reported on Crestmoor Lane after two plastic bottles exploded on porches.
Around 2 o’clock in the morning on Tuesday, August 18, police were called about a couple of explosions that happened within a close time frame of each other.
According to police, the suspect rang the homeowners doorbells then ran away, leaving a plastic bottle on the porch that was filled with bathroom cleaner and aluminum foil. The resulting gas pressure built to a point which caused the bottle to tip over and explode.
The explosion woke one of the home owners, who immediately called the police reporting they either heard something that souned like a gunshot or explosion by the door.
The other homeowner found the remaining pieces in his flowerbed the next morning. Some liquid was still inside the bottle.
There was no property damage or injuries to the homeowners.
There are no known suspects at this time.
