The Lake Orion Farmers Market will now extend to October 28, every Wednesday from 2 to 7 p.m. The market is located in downtown Lake Orion.

Sept. 2, welcome back teachers – A coupon for a free apple for any teacher is available at the market. Teachers will be able to pick up information from Crittenton on programs, Eat Healthy, Buy Local and community information updates and on the Paint Creek Trail ‘Bridge Walk.?
Sept. 9, free corn roast – a fundraiser sponsored by our area Lions Club, with corn donations by Northern Farms and Tony Van Houtte. Pick up promotional information about fall events and programs.
Sept. 16, Kids Daze – promotion for Barn Daze at the township. Activities for the kids, a find-the-tractor game, and win a gourd, along with hot rods at the market to kick off the Car Show.
Sept. 23, Dragon Day – Dragon in the display area. Pick up information on the Dragon on the Lake event.
Sept. 30, Tractors and scarecrows – see tractors and scarecrows at the market.
Oct. 7, Hay bales hay day – hay to climb and sit on and buy for decorations, also cornstalks and pumpkins.
Oct. 14, Fire Fighter, and First Responders Day – meet and greet fire and first responder people, talk about fire safety, Halloween Safety and get up close to a real fire truck.
October 21, Policemen and public officials – Supervisor Matt Gibb and Village Manager Paul Zelenak will be on hand to meet and greet the citizens of Lake Orion Other public officials will be signing on. Special artist Darrel Swift will be on hand to draw portraits, or bring a picture you would like done. Special give-a-ways on hand.
Oct. 28, Halloween extravaganza – Village Halloween Parade, candy give-away. This is the final day for the fall Market, and will feature some spook-tacular things.
