The Lake Orion Farmers? Market has lots planned for the coming weeks.
Oct. 7 is Hay Bales Day’hay to climb on, hay to sit on, hay to buy and take home for autumn decorations. Cornstalks and pumpkins are available, too.
Oct. 14 is Fire Fighter and First Responders Day. Meet and greet Lake Orion public safety officials to talk about fire safety and Halloween safety. Get up close to check out a real fire truck.
Oct. 21 is Police and Public Officials Day. Orion Township Supervisor Matt Gibb and Lake Orion Village Manager Paul Zelenak will be on hand to meet and greet citizens. Other public officials may sign on, too. Special giveaways will be available, and artist Darrel Swift will stop by to draw portraits, live or from a photograph.
Oct. 28 is the last day of the market for the 2009 season. Organizers are planning some ‘spook-tacular? fun during the Halloween Extravaganza, which also includes the annual Village Halloween Parade and candy giveaway.
