In September, the Orion Art Center held its annual photography show ‘Images of Summer.? The show, which had 73 entries from photographers in the tri-county area, was just recently moved to Orion Township Public Library, located at 825 Joslyn Road.
The show will be on display at the library through October.
At the September opening reception, the Orion Art Center awarded $500 in cash prizes. First place went to Edward Maurer, of Lake Orion, for his California beach scene.
Second place was William Dwyer, of Oxford, for his sand and flipflop photo. Third place went to teenager Caitlynn Diroff, of Lake Orion. Honorable mentions went to Rick Belz, of Davisburg, for his waterski wonderland and Sandy Mabery, of Lake Orion, for his Lake Orion Dock photo.
Serving as juror was David Orser of Orser Photography studios.
The Orion Art Center is a non profit arts organization offering classes, competitions, demos, and special events to enrich the northern Oakland county and build awareness for arts and culture.
