Never forget

Grown men wiped away tears, veterans hugged one another and there were plenty of goose bumps to go around Monday as the American Legion Post 63 hosted Clarkston’s annual Memorial Day Parade and ceremony at Lakeview Cemetery.
Members of the Legion read the names of hundreds of veterans buried at Lakeview, and honored those in attendance with a medal.
The event also included a reenactment of Civil War era mourners, as well as fly over by the International Guard-Selfridge’with Clarkston native Lt. Colonel Ross Dickson at the helm in one of the F-16 fighter jets.
