Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and School is looking for folks to help provide gift-filled shoe boxes to children around the world as it again participates in the Operation Christmas Child program.
According to Good Shepard’s business manager Haroldeane Perzyk, thousands of churches and groups participated in last year’s collection, as more than 7.6 million shoe boxes were delivered to children in some 95 countries worldwide.
Participants need only ’empty shoeboxes, a variety of small gifts, and a desire to take God’s love to hurting children around the world.?
Good Shepard, located at 1950 South Baldwin Road, will receive shoe box gifts Monday through Friday, Nov.16-20, from noon-5 p.m., as well as Saturday, Nov. 21, 10 a.m.-noon, and Sunday, Nov. 22, noon-2:30 p.m.?
More information and brochures are available on school and church welcome boards, and questions can be directed to Melissa Clark at 248-391-1170.
