Oakland County Sheriff’s Office collects Coats for the Cold for people in need. Local drop off sites include Outback Steakhouse, 6435 Dixie Highway; Real Estate One, 31 S. Main; and Sheriff’s Office Independence Township Substation, 6560 Citation Drive.
New and clean, gently used coats will be collected through Nov. 30. They are provided free to local charitable organizations for distribution.
