New principal arriving at LOHS?

With a pool of potential principals apparently narrowed to one ‘final candidate,? Sophia LaFayette, Lake Orion High School administrators sent out an email informing parents about an opportunity to meet LaFayette next week.
Unconfirmed rumors suggest LaFayette is an ‘administrative assistant? with Detroit Public Schools.
DPS? website lists a Sophia LaFayette as the district’s ‘Chief of Staff to the Chief Academic and Accountability Auditor.?
The emailed letter to parents reads:
‘As you may know, we scheduled an opportunity for you to meet the final candidate for the HS Principal position for Thursday, January 7, at 2:30 p.m. In order to better accommodate more parents regarding work/schedule conflicts with the time, we are changing the time for parents to meet Ms. Sophia LaFayette to 5:30 p.m. The location shall remain the same – the HS media center.
This meeting will last approximately 30 minutes, with an opportunity for you to meet and ask Ms. LaFayette questions, as well as provide feedback on your impressions. This is not an interview, but rather an opportunity to meet the candidate whom all 14 members of the interview committee endorse for this position.
Please let me know if you have any further questions.?
The letter is signed by Margaret Hazlett, executive director human resources, Lake Orion Community Schools
Some parents say they’ve been in the dark about how the search has progressed since former LOHS Principal Todd Dunckley was reassigned to Oakview Middle School last spring.
Dunckley learned March 25 his contract at the high school would not be renewed; he began his Oakview tenure July 1.
Dunckley has served 18 years as a school administrator, including 9 in Orion schools. He says he never saw it coming and was shocked when he heard his contract might not be renewed.
In September, the school board unanimously approved interm principal appointment for Mike Fenchel and Tom Tobe The two split the principalship, one occupying the position three days and week, and the other two.
