Local author to present autobiography

Oakland County Pioneer and Historical Society hosts Clarkston author Jack C. Mason’s presentation on his biography “Until Antietam: The Life and Letters of Major General Israel B. Richardson, U. S. Army,” 2-4 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 7.
Mason wrote a historical account the general, who served in the Seminole and Mexican wars. and trained and led the Second Michigan Volunteer Infantry Regiment during the Civil War.
His lecture will be at society’s one-room schoolhouse, 405 Cesar Chavez, Pontiac. It will be followed by a tour of the Wisner House. Autographed copies of Mason’s work will be available.
