Lions tear two opponents apart

The Lions of Lake Orion Baptist School successfully defeated two opponents from the north during Spirit Week.
The Immanuel Baptist School Fire, of Corunna, came in Tuesday and the Community Baptist School Kings made their appearance Friday, in the second round for both teams.
The Lions turned back the Fire by a score of 61-38, giving the Lions? bench an opportunity finish the game in the fourth quarter.
Friday’s game with the Kings was similar to their first meeting, coming down to the final minutes in deciding the Lions? victory, 57-49.
The game began with the Lions moving from the tip-off to the basket, as Treavor Halleck made a lay-up. The Kings came out strong in the third, cutting the Lions lead and pulling to within one point, 44-45, at the 2:52 mark.
After the time out Matt Cameron hit a three-pointer to give the Lions a four-point lead. From there the Lions made their free throws and pulling to a 61 to 49 win.
The Lions are 11-3 for the season and will travel to Auburn Christian in Aubrun Hills, Thrusday.
