Friends of Library set for book sale

The Independence Township Friends of the Library are planning a new and used book sale April 10 though April 12.
The donated books help support the library. The sale will have hundreds of paperbacks and hardcovers among which are antique books, collectibles, first editions (some signed), videos and even an “Oprah Book Club” area.
“We have 46 categories so there is something for everybody,” Mary Jean Baker said.
Most items are priced at $1 or $2. Children’s books are priced to sell. After 1 p.m. on Friday all items will be half priced. Saturday is $2/bag, wheres customers can fill a grocery bag full of books for $2.
The sale opens at 10 a.m. everyday and closes with the library. The Independence Library is located at 6495 Clarkston Road.
