‘A bigger problem than you think?

Dear editor,
In response of the letter to the editor ‘Mom unhappy with drug overdose story:? Wake up Lake Orion; you have a bigger problem than you think.
While I am deeply sorry for the family that lost their son, we have several half way homes within the village, along with other organized self help clubs.
Unfortunately, the people looking for help from these places find it easer to use the drugs than to get off them and because of this these people will pray on the youth to get them addicted to keep their habit going.
Yes they need help from everyone and including family members who sometimes ignore the facts that their family member may have a problem as you could easily read into both the story and the letter.
As for the remarks about the poor job the police department is doing, I am sure everyone is aware that they cannot be everywhere and cannot protect everyone.
So it is the responsibility of everyone in the village or township to do their part in keeping an eye out and report the type of activity that has claimed so many young lives, even if it means turning in your own family members.
Again, I am sorry for the loss of life.
