Deadline was Monday for the open treasurer’s seat on Clarkston Board of Education.
‘We have seven applicants for the open seat,? said board President Steve Hyer. ‘The board will have the chance to review the documents submitted before the meeting.?
Trustee Joan Patterson expects the information in her packet as soon as possible, as well as a clear idea of when the board is able to interview applicants during the meeting.
‘Most importantly, we have to have time to have input and ask questions,? she said
As of Tuesday afternoon, the board hadn’t met for the agenda planning meeting, to discuss when the process would take place.
‘I believe we are going to start with the interview and selection process at five,? said Hyer.
The seat became available March 22, when Treasurer Joe Armstrong submitted his letter of resignation, citing illness.
Interviews will be part of April 19’s regularly scheduled public meeting at the Administration Building, 6289 Clarkston Road. For more information, call 248-623-5400.
