Girls? lacrosse nets win, tie

Girls? lacrosse teams traveled to Milford March 29 to face Huron Valley-Lakeland.
The Varsity girls played to a 7-7 tie. Lindsay Butterfield stopped 11 shots on goal to lead the defensive effort. Jodie Parker scored three goals, while Paige Hammerl and Ronnie Booth added two goals each. Assists were made by Megan Nash and Samantha Noe.
The JV girls, played well before falling 2-1.
The teams teams hosted Harper Woods Regina, March 30. Varsity beat the opponent 11-8. Parker scored four goals, while Sarah Cech and Booth each had three. Jessica Smude added a goal. Butterfield (12 saves) and Kristen Dolecki (two saves) were outstanding in the goal circle.
Lady Dragons are now 1-1-1 on the 2010 season.
The JV won their game 11-3 and are now 1-2.
After spring break, the girls lacrosse teams will host Grosse Point North, April 16 at 5:30 p.m. for the JV and 7 p.m. for varsity.
