If you love them on stage, you’ll love them as they host a Saturday, June 5 fund-raiser for the K-9 Stray Rescue League in downtown Oxford’s Centennial Park
The Oxford High School Theater Company is conducting a 5K run/1-mile walk dubbed the ‘Laugh and Dash for a Cause.?
Those wishing to participate in the 5K run will register from 8:30-9:15 a.m. and begin their journey at 9:30 a.m.
One-mile walkers will register from 9-9:45 a.m. and start hoofing it at 9:45 a.m. Dogs are welcome to walk, too.
The cost to register for either the run or walk is $25 per participant (includes T-shirt).
There will even be a quarter-mile race for the kids starting at 10:15 a.m. Registration cost is $10 and includes a medal.
In addition to all that physical activity, there will lots of other fun events including Dog Training Tips at 10:30 a.m.; Competitive Improvisation Show at 11 a.m.; and Dog Adoption in the Park from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. A presentation and raffle will be conducted at 2 p.m.
Those who register by May 21 are guaranteed a T-shirt. Those after this date are not.
