Summer concert series in the park

Clarkston Area Chamber of Commerce hosts the 31st season of Concerts in the Park, presented by McLaren Health Care. The free concerts are 7-9 p.m., Fridays, June 18-July 23, in Depot Park.
Local talent performs at 6:30 p.m.
Concession stands are operated by local non-profit organizations, including the Chamber of Commerce, which offers Cook’s Farm Dairy premium ice cream at each concert this season. Parking is free in municipal lots.
Air Margaritaville performs Jimmy Buffett music, June 18.
The 17-piece Stardusters Band plays swing/big band music takes the gazebo stage, June 24. The band began in 2005 and rehearses at Clarkston United Methodist Church, 6600 Waldon Road.
On July 2, The Magic Bus performs 60’s and 70’s music in a family fun hippie fest celebration.
July 9, Gia Warner Band plays the rock classics of Bonnie Raitt, Steven Tyler, Pretenders, Faith Hill, Linda Ronstadt, Aretha Franklin, Joe Perry, Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young, and other artists.
Toppermost plays the best of the Beatles, from their early days of the Beatles live performances in 1963 up until the Beatles last tour in 1966, on July 16.
Wrapping up the summer concert series, July 23, is Tribute to an American Legend, performing the music of Johnny Cash. The tribute is led by Elstan Gunn, whose show includes several duets that Johnny sang with his wife, June Carter Cash.
