After winning a thrilling 14-13 game in the first round of regionals against Rochester United, the girls? lacrosse season came to an end with an exciting 14-13 triple overtime loss to Waterford United at LOHS on Tuesday, June 1. The Lady Dragons finished their 2010 season at 9-7-2, a school record for wins and its first MHSAA playoff victory.
In the game against Waterford, Dragons were led by Jodie Parker, who had six goals and an assist. Ronnie Booth had three goals and an assist. Becky Seeds, Kaileen Tweedie, Carly Brooks and junior varsity ‘call-up? Mallory DeMott all scored once each.
Parker capped off a great three-year career as the girls? lacrosse program’s all time leading scorer, with 123 goals.
Senior goalie, Lindsay Butterfield ended her stellar three-year career with 12 more saves. She already holds the career record for goalie saves, now with 498 in just 3 seasons and a school record 0.558 save percentage.
The other seniors finishing their LOHS lacrosse careers were captains Sarah Cech and Sophia Reini, Becky Seeds, Megan Nash, Jessica Burke, Kristen Dolecki and Samantha Noe.
